Dear Buyer, to ensure a peaceful, safe, and pleasant stay within our historic neighborhood, please take a moment to read and follow our Access & House Rules:
Check-In & Self Check-In: Standard check-in is available from 4:00 PM onwards. Due to the unique layout of the historic center, we offer a flexible self check-in system or personalized assistance. Please share your estimated arrival time at least 24–48 hours in advance.
Check-Out: Check-out must be completed by 10:00 AM on the day of departure to allow our team to perform thorough cleaning and sanitation for the next guests.
Old Town Access & Parking (ZTL): Matilde Home is located in a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL), which is closed to non-resident vehicles. Guests cannot drive directly to the front door. We will provide detailed instructions regarding the best public and private parking areas located just outside the historic walls (approx. 5–7 minutes' walk away).
Respect for the Community & Quiet Hours: Matilde Home is part of a vibrant, historic residential community. Guests are kindly requested to keep noise to a respectful level, particularly during traditional quiet hours: from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
Smoking Policy: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the home. Smoking is allowed exclusively outside on the private rooftop terrace, using the provided ashtrays.
Pets: Small pets may be allowed upon request and prior approval. An extra cleaning fee may apply.
Terrace Safety: Please ensure the terrace door is securely closed when leaving the property. Children must be supervised at all times when on the rooftop terrace.
To maintain transparency and ensure smooth management of our boutique historic properties, the following cancellation and booking terms apply to Matilde Home:
Deposit & Payment: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total reservation cost is required at the time of booking to secure your dates. The remaining 70% balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival. For bookings made within 30 days of arrival, the full amount is due immediately.
Standard Cancellation Terms:
Up to 30 days before arrival: Cancellations requested more than 30 days prior to the check-in date will result in the forfeiture of the 30% deposit. No further charges will apply.
Within 30 days of arrival: Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date, as well as "no-shows" or early departures during the stay, are 100% non-refundable, and the total amount will be retained.
Date Modifications: Any request to change the dates of your booking is subject to availability and seasonal price changes. Date modifications requested within 30 days of arrival cannot be guaranteed and may be treated as a standard cancellation.
Force Majeure: In the rare event that the property becomes unavailable due to unexpected structural issues or circumstances beyond our control (Force Majeure), a full refund of all payments will be issued, or a flexible voucher for a future stay will be provided.
Travel Insurance: Because our cancellation policy is strictly enforced, we highly recommend that guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation coverage to protect against unforeseen medical issues, flight cancellations, or personal emergencies.
